Helping parents, educators, and communities find balance through breathing and mindfulness techniques that transform how we cope with stress and trauma.

About TakeABreath

Breathing Life Into Communities, For Over a Decade

Founded by Natalia in 2021, TakeABreath is more than a program—it's a movement. Natalia's journey began at home, helping her own children learn to regulate their bodies through breathing techniques. Today, she brings that same passion to schools, communities, and city-wide initiatives. Whether in the classroom, at city events, or with parents in times of trauma, Natalia provides powerful tools to help people take control of their breath, heal, and thrive.

Years Experience

"What you are leaving with are tools to regulate your body so that you can get through difficult times in your life." – Natalia, Founder & Breathing Coach

What We Offer

Scope Our Impact

Take A Breath provides services that range from educational programs for children to community healing circles. Here’s how you can use us:

Breathing Coaching in Schools

Natalia is the Breathing Coach for school districts across Twin Cities. She facilitates lessons teaching the biology of stress and the power of breath for Staff and Kids. Her Drop Everything And Breathe videos are now part of the social-emotional curriculum. From the Take A Breath Corner to 6-week mind-body-medicine groups, she provides vital resources for children, parents, and educators.

Community Healing Circles

When trauma affects the community, Take A Breath steps in. Natalia leads healing circles to create space for processing grief and trauma, whether it’s a community impacted by tragedy or families in need of support. In partnership with the City of Saint Paul, these circles provide a place to breathe, heal, and move forward together.

Safe Summer Nights

As part of the Office of Neighborhood Safety, Natalia brings breathing techniques to the streets of Saint Paul. Teaching adults and kids simple yet powerful methods like "Smell the Rose, Blow Out the Candle," she helps people understand that trauma lives in the body—and can be released through breath.

Youth Mental Health Advocacy

In partnership with CANDO (Central area neighborhood development organization) and Hennepin County Violence prevention, Natalia serves as Wellness Director for YMHA (youth mental health advocates). Leading youth and young adults in practicing mind body skills to manage grief, depression, and anxiety they have experienced. She helps to create the next generation of Youth Advocates, empowering them to lead in their communities.

Meet Natalia - Founder of TakeABreath

Natalia Davis is a Breathing Coach, mindfulness advocate, and the visionary founder of TakeABreath. With over a decade of experience, she has dedicated her life to helping individuals and communities regulate their bodies and find peace through simple, effective breathing techniques.

What started in her own home with her children has since grown into a transformative program, inspiring the

Irreducible Grace Foundation (IGF) Kids Video Series, now used in several elementary school districts. Natalia’s early work with IGF laid the foundation for this impactful series and her broader mission.

Her influence spans schools, where she integrates breathing techniques into social and emotional curricula, to Healing Circles

that support communities recovering from trauma. As a

community partner with the City of Saint Paul and project manager for Hennepin County’s violence prevention programs, Natalia leads with heart, helping people heal from within.

In addition to founding TakeABreath, Natalia owns Hotworx Fitness Studio in Saint Paul. Her passion lies in empowering others with tools to regulate their bodies, reduce stress, and heal. Through her work, Natalia envisions a world where everyone has access to these life-changing techniques, whether via in-person sessions, the IGF-inspired animated series, or her future podcast.

"Your breath is the key to unlocking healing and resilience."
